I think all TR7's had a choke warning light. My 1980 model has one.

you have a choke cable that stays out? must be blessed lol. three cables later ive given up and resorted to the clothes peg lol

As I mentioned earlier, I modified two choke cables for a friend so they would stay out. Unfortunately you need a milling machine to make the mods I carried out.
