Thanks, I gave up on the 998 turbo, would have been to much effort to build the engine again and this bundle came up for a good price.

The engine was rebuilt and has done 1000miles since I think, it's got +040 omegas in it, that's all I know really.

Thought I'd left this behind not having a mini as a daily drive!

So an update on this. my brothers van is getting the turbo engine put in. So the new plan is to put a b16 honda engine in it, trying to stay with the fixed round nose, using an allspeed frame.

Did some more body work today. took ages to get the panel the right rough shape and size. Not used my welder for ages. no gas was coming out so i put a new bottle on, and still no gas, so for now i just tacked the panel in place. need to have a look on the web to see if theres any advice.
Cut out and cleaned up the floor;

Did some fetling to the panel:

Finally tacked into place:

I see you've got the heavy object mover's friend, the old skateboard, tucked under the bench there - use my son's old one far more than he ever did!

So over winter the plan for this is to completely restore it, making it into a track/fast road car:

Sticking this in it:
