Long time no update,
Just took delivery of a turbo 998, paid £750 for it which is not to bad apparently, its spec is as follows:
"998Ti engine:
Std 998 crank, balanced with VP2 bearings. High capacity oil pump. Centre main strap. Bushed rods and +0.040" Hypatec pistons. MD274 cam. Standard 12G295 head with 28cc chambers, stainless valves, unleaded seats and double valve springs. Duplex. Std gearbox rebuilt with new bearings, centre oil pickup and 2.95 CWP on a 4 pin Diff. Heavy duty verto clutch on lightweight steel flywheel.
Ran 120hp at 12 psi. Done just a few thousand miles since build."
Here it is with mate in the back ground, the mini it is going in as the engine in him is getting a bit worn:
First thing it did when we unloaded it was to leak oil all over the drive, I am in big trouble when the parents get back:
The plan is to tidy up the engine, paint, clean etc and run it NA for a bit while I collect the turbo bits.
If anyone has any ideas on anything I should do whilst its out of the car please say.
Many thanks

Managed to get the engine out today.
Getting hooked up
And the engine out out, had some clearance issues
Learnt a few things today:
1. Walking head first into the arm of an engine crane hurts a lot
2. Don't trust your younger brother to tell you when the engine is bending the bonnet catch up, when your moving the engine and looking at the clearance at the back
3. Don't go to the mini shop and but all gaskets you need and forget to get the fuel pump one(hope it will not need replacing)
