I am curious as to how many people you have going to this meeting. Its only ten minutes away from me, so curiosity may just kill the cat. I dont usually do meets, but as Yoda is now back on the road (albeit needing some serious bodywork) i may just be tempted to pop down. I may not fit in too well as i am an older person, but you're only as old as you feel Right?
Dont expect me to turn up, but maybe, just maybe i will.
I wonder if i see plenty of enthusiasm here, maybe we could get the Medway Mini club kicked back into action. it seems to have died a slow death over the last couple of years and needs new blood to inspire the members again. All it needs is someone to organise trips out and club stands at the national meets etc and there is already a website and forum set up just waiting for new blood.

Arthritis and Mini's dont mix too well but as its only ten minutes away, i should be able to cope LOL. My son would probably be driving as Yoda is now being run by him. but if he is busy, i can borrow my car from him LOL.

Age is but a number :) when it comes to mini's we are all the same and I'm sure we all have the same goofy smile driving them whether we are 17 or 117 and everything inbetween :) I like the idea of a potential club starting up out of this. The SE London North Kent seems to have little unless you travel down to Maidstone or out to Surrey or Essex ... Again we can see how many we do get on the 5th but i know I will deffo be there. Hopefully in the mini but she's going in for some work on the 3rd so I might be in my MX-5 but looking forward to meeting fellow locals who share the mini passion

That is the one true fact about Mini ownership. Age does not count. I suppose when you look at people like Paddy Hopkirk. Cooperman on here, and then the other end of the scale, 14 year old starting their first projects with Dad, etc, the Mini scene is ageless. I myself had my first at 17 a few inbetween and now i have around 5 in various states of repair. I have had therapy, blood tranfusions, a lobotomy and various other treatments, but i just cant get that bug out of my system. I suppose i will be infected with this disease until my last days.
I better see if i can make it then.
Cake sounds good too.

I'll shall be 33 my partner 33 too so think there def going to be range of ages so def do come and have you read I'm baking cakes? I'm def up for anything club wise as I'm stay home mum due to having a son with autism but I do work 2 mornings a week volunteering in charity shop but pretty much free otherwise.
Can see what interest the 5th gets and go from there. I'm busy during most days but am fully up for trying to get something going on a regular basis. Like i said I have been looking at local clubs but whilst SMOC and LSMOC aren't a million miles away sometimes you want something local and there seems to be nothing up our way

Totally agree. I'm a late comer into mini ownership getting my first at 28 but I've wanted one since I was 14 and whilst i like the comfort and ease of driving the MX-5 gives nothing beats driving the mini :) plus some of the people I've already met through owning it make it worthwhile as well :)
Plus as you say everything sounds better when cake is involved lol :)

At MMC, we were looking to branch out and have smaller meeting for more local areas anyway a few years ago. If you guys want to start a regular thing. Why not join up with MMC and create a small local community affilliated with the club. You can organise your own events, Invite other members of MMC and join in with any other events that MMc organise in the future!

Ive tried getting MMC to have another gathering but no one seems to be on there anymore, it only seems to be yourself that goes on there anymore?
