Quality: Minispares

Service: Minispares

Price: Minispares

Product Knowledge: Minispares

You get 7.5% off as well as a TMF+ Member.

Every single time I have used Minisport I have later regretted it either because they send the wrong items or don't recognise the item is out of stock and don't send you them at all.

Mini Spares all the way, take a look at my thread, everything from Mini Spares, spot on with service and price and I'm picky.

Mini spares only tend to use others if MIni Spares are out or don't stop what I need.

As a non biased view

Minisport, the postage is cheaper and service is better, e.g friendly service and very knowledgeable. Although they don't seem to stock much and their new website seems harder to use than their old layout. I've had wrong parts from minispares and gaskets FOLDED into box's but they seem to offer alot more stock and there is a 7.5% discount They know alot about mini's but when ive spoken to them they seem to speak to me with a condescending tone. So i am torn between the two. and its almost like your forced into paying the "express postage" which is more than twice as much a standard otherwise it takes 2 weeks.

if the two company's are reading this then here is a few pointers;

Minisport:

-Stock a wider range, even nuts and bolts ect

-Personally your old website was a hell of alot better to navigate.

-Get TMF or equivalent forum into have similar discount to minispares

Minispares:

-Stop getting retards to pack things e.g. gaskets and as much as you can crammed into one box.

-Be abit more friendly over the phone

-improve on standard postage. it doesn't take 2 weeks to send a tiny box containing a couple of nuts and bolts. (on SEVERAL occasions)

i tend to alternate between the two. minisport for advise and and parts and minispares for miscellaneous items and specialist parts.

bear.

EDIT:need to remember my there's and their's ;)

i have used minispares for over 15 years now and found their service only gets better, i know john era at the midlands branch very well and he is very knowledgeable.

they are also just a ten minute drive from me which is very lucky!

however, i do prefer minisports alloy calipers, but if i need a set of those i get them in person from them at a show, my friends have waited a long time for them to deliver in the past!

I've never had a problem with any of them but I tend to use minispares more often as they have always been most helpful over the phone

Both are as bad as each other in my opinion, I've had to return items to minisport which was a hassle that was made slightly harder by their returns policy and general lack of co-ordination, while on the otherhand I've been sent parts from minispares which have been the wrong ones and billed for a more expensive item which is very annoying. Parts quality is about the same from both, and I've not been impressed by the longevity of rubber parts from either of them. If possible, I would try to go in person as I've found most companies are much better that way than through the internet/phone as well as the advantage of you being able to inspect the part before purchasing.

Overseas perspective...I use Minispares primarily due to better pricing once the TMF discount is taken off.  Have also bought a few items through Minisport.  Both have answered technical questions for me.  Found I preferred Minisport's shipping method (Fedex, I think) over DHL simply because DHL isn't a big name over here and delivery is by a 3rd party...and the local 3rd party courier kinda sucks.

Both are better than Minimania out of the US!
