Gear Shift Plate & Grease Question

Mines got a hole, and doesn't look like it's been cut out by hand, so looks like they're standard, and do you mean where do I put the grease or what type of grease? Where do I put it? - Anything inside the box that moves including where it goes through the casing. What type do I use? - anything really, theres no outrageous forces involved Go to the full post

Hey internets.

 

Quick question, I am in the process of rebuilding my gear shifter and wondered if all bottom plates have a hole in like the one in the picture? Also, any recommendations on grease when reassembling the linkage?
