A 'TMF Team' member dragging this dispute with a very popular TMF trader into the public eye doesn't promote TMF as being the friendly place it is.

No comment on this but
Stuff he has done for me and mine has been perfect. I am a very satisfied customer of his. And yes these were specials and funnily enough one was a Moke badge for steering wheel centre and some were Moke wheel centres.

Thanks dude....I did tell jordie we had done these before, and they worked well.....I used EXACTLY the same pattern and profiles as yours to produce these.....

In fairness I was berated for publicly promoting the fact Paypal decided in our favour on Jordies dispute that he lodged...... but strangely enough....only by other TMF moderators  ... whod have thought !! especally as they have all purchased from me on many, many occasions without upset......Hmmmm....

It pee-d me off from the word go how he just tried to flatten me attitude....assuming I was some kind off meek back-street trader that'll take it up the hooter and bend over grovelling for an apology.... unfortunately Im not....Ive got nuts of titanium to go with my carbon fibre heart valves and I dont take any kind of authoritative junk from anyone!

when I think of banners I have run for the forum's administration team free of charge overnight before shows because they've lost them or they've got wrecked..... the hours and hours I put into helping them get the new logo.... and then negotiating usage rights with the artist, and negotiating non-conflict agreements with another organisation ...... how is it back then I was your hero in making this all work.....and now Im some kind of cowboy !!! ???

you sure got a short memory mr J.   or have you still got the hump because you were over-ridden by the other moderators on the choice of logo ?

I arent going to justify a long reply to this....

but here are some facts

1) The plastics were never a favour or gift, I specifically asked several times the price inc plastic. Because you sent the invoice and put 20x steering centre stickers, doesnt mean they were a favour and that you never quoted for them. The conversation proves several times I asked for the price for the plastic+sticker as one unit. No mention of a gift, favour or "we will try" was ever mentioned until your paypal defense.

2) Paypal closed case in your favour because buyer protection doesnt cover custom items. Not because I was trying to rip your business off.

3) The full screenshots, emails, paypal comments etc have been logged in the TMF Staff area for all to see and get the FACTS.

4) I sent the original steering wheel as a sample, email replies stated they were a perfect fit to my sample, but this obviously wasnt correct. Some white lies here.

5) I never had anything removed from Facebook, and I tagged 3 TMF staff members in the post so they could see the post and reflect on the comments in regards to the screenshots etc I had placed on the forum in #3 above.

My comments about the quality and incorrect product were just that of any customer who recieved an incorrect item. Immediately I was hit with "get a genuine rover one" and "take a dive". I only wanted the issue correcting or a refund so I could go elsewhere.

Is this aimed at me? I had nothing to do with the logo choice?

Lets make one thing very clear here, any member of the team is entitled to raise issue with a product they deemed incorrect or whatever. Being a member of the TMF moderating team does not mean they cannot comment.

The fact in this particular case a member of the team has had an issue does not detract from that. Does that mean we and the we being any member of the team has to put up with incorrect items, poorly made, wrong colour etc etc etc. No it does not we are all perfectly entitled to comment.

Would you say the same thing if it was a non team member???

now......the nitty gritty of it all.... the acrylics I did for him as a favour were made the same shape and size as the resin decals....they clearly needed to be a bit bigger, the stepped tab at the bottom of each could be done but its tricky.

as mentioned above.....under any normal circumstances I'd be straight back on the laser cutter and give it another go..... any if Jordie wants to wind his neck in and stop trying to promote us as some kind of rip-off merchant, I'll give it another go....heck knows these would sell well in Australia and through our trade outlets.

Didnt see all these messages via my phone.

So you admit the stickers and the plastics were too small. Yet refused to inform paypal that the stickers you sold me, ignorning the plastics for now, were too small. Yet tried to make out I was trying to fraudlantly rip you off. If you had informed paypal the actual sticker you quoted as selling me was too small and that it wasnt as described, maybe the outcome would have been different.

Shame that Paypal buyer protection doesnt cover custom items. There is no truth in what your saying that paypal favoured with you because they saw I was trying to rip you off, thats utter BS and ive got the proof.

So you didnt like my attitude.....you had an upset customer who had specifically explained, photo'd and sent a sample item so you could create the product. The product was incorrect, not right size etc. So I ask for a replacement or refund......who wouldnt?

Im not saying you are rip off merchants, remember ive used you before on afew occassions. Im saying on this occassion you have taken my money and also cost me additional money (sending the sample item to you) by producing me a product that isnt what I asked for, isnt fit for its purpose, is too small etc. So im out of pocket, which would upset anyone, then you try to mock me via facebook saying you "won" the paypal dispute whereas infact Paypal didnt offer the protection for the buyer so the case was closed, that isnt "winning".

are you deleting my comments now you cheeky monkey ? - where did my last post go ?

I'll try again....and screen grab it before its deleted.....

You made your case and lost.....

You tried to embarrass me and got flamed.....

I'll say it again.....your attitude sucked.... if you had better people skills maybe you would have dealt with the matter better.....and you'd have these right now.....they fit the steering wheel I got great  :proud:

Why should a customer need "people skills" to complain?

I got the email to say a post was here, but when clicked the link nothing. I have no reason to delete your posts.

Im glad your happy with your work. It obviously proofs you can produce the item in question when it suits you. Now you are obviously capable, you still havent tried to resolve this situation.....no matter what attitude I have.....im still a customer without a product I can use.

I think that is fair for all to see here, so ill leave it at that. This thread will act as a fair warning for those who read it, changing the outcome of this thread is in your hands....not mine.

To be fair, I only replied because I'd been 'tagged' (one of the features I hate about Facebook). And as I said on Facebook, I just didn't think it was fair to name him publicly.

And as stated above, I tagged 3 of the TMF team so they could see the facebook post for reference.

All I Gota say is this forum is very one sided if a team member has a problem it's aloud to be plastered all over the forum but if some one like me had a problem etc not aloud to say anything otherwise il get banned

Every one that I know and know of that has used roofless (Martin) the stuff has been bang on

Every company will have problems or mistakes. We see it all time on the forum. We dont stop people from posting at all, infact we get involved in disputes with members and traders on here....we have resolved many issues and helped many people even as far as going to court in regards to issues. We have removed traders from this forum to protect members also.

There is no doubt that Roofless has produced some good work, as ive stated several times, im a return customer. This isnt the first time ive used him, but its the first time ive had problems and the first time ever, ive been in a dispute with a company who refuse to sort out the problem one way or another.

Have you read any of the other threads in this section, you know, before saying that we don't allow people to complain about traders?

EDIT: Approximately 250 topics, full of people giving both positive AND negative feedback about their experiences with suppliers.
