I know we have talked about it before and i know we are BINI tolerant and i know some members have both :alien:

but is it time to change the header at the top of the page ?

i must be frustrating for BINI owners looking for help to end up here expecting to get it , only to be told we are a classic forum and not really a guide to everything mini after all

any thoughts ?

I have no objection to that.

We do seem to be having a large influx if MINI owners recently and that's not what this site is for.

That said, you'd think having two minis at the top of the page would give it away?

I don't see how the two pictures of a Classic Mini at the top aren't enough to show this site is for the Classic Mini.

I don't really think it would make a difference personally.

No issues with the suggestion in principle, in practice however, if the two decent sized pictures of classic minis are not a big enough clue, then the even smaller print of the "your online guide to everything mini" by the time the "classic" is inserted it is going to be even less noticeable, as it will me mini-scule (ha ha) not sure how worthwhile it would be.

As an owner of 2 MINI's :proud: I dont see the header as an indication that this is a MINI site. If you type MINI forum into google, then loads of dedicated site some up.

I say leave it as it is. Either that or insert " NOT A MINI SITE " in the header if you want to get your point across................

That says it all really, its quite obvious, or it should be anyway.........

Im afraid TMF will have to be "tolerant" of MINI's

Also, surely you would look round a forum before you posted in it? I think it would quickly become apparent that this is a Classic Mini forum from just looking at a few threads.

Perhaps some of us MINI owners are not that intelligent ;D

I would suggest to just add  at the top in between the two Minis pictured 1959 - 2000 in big bold numbers. That might help.

To be honest i think it would be just as easy to add a BINI section on here and be done with it that way all the BINI questions can be placed in one area to avoid confusion, also could bring more tmf members, just a thought....
