It definitely sounds like you need somewhere to hide them all. Ever thought of building a multi story car park in the garden?
I'm in the mundane phase of body work as the moment and chalking and rubbing down the whole body. I started with the N/S rear quarter and moved around the car.
Then I moved onto the bonnet and boot.
The roof was a bit of a boring but on the plus side it's nice and smooth now.
All it needs now is a couple areas re priming and rubbing down again then it's ready for colour.

Well everything's ready to paint but the big compressor's motor has popped so that's off being repaired
I thought I'd schultz the underside of the car as I still have a smaller compressor. First thing's first wrap the car up.
Schutlz can be a bit of a pain to spray when it's cold so I put the tins in a tub of boiling latter to make it a bit more runny.
It's not the nicest job to do but the inside of the wings, flitches, rear arches, and sills/floors are done now.
Hopefully it wont be long until the motor for the big compressor's back.

Still no compressor motor but I thought I'd cut the drop sheet around the openings in the body ready for the interior and engine bay to be sprayed.
I also got started on the front subframe and had all 4 of the bottom arm sleeves seized onto the crinkle pins and tore the top out of a donut.

The saga continues.
As the standard cones were nuked I deiced to fit a pair of red spot cones and some Hi Lo's.
It seemed silly not to rebuild the top arms so they both got a new pin kit and a fresh lick of paint.
The front subframe also got a thorough clean, fresh paint and new front brake line.
I stripped, greased and cleaned the rack as well. It also got a new pair of boots.
I cut a boot board out as well and painted the underside black. The top will be covered in black carpet.

I'm not sure what shade of green it was originally to be honest. I'm not very good with colours.
After looking at a few green laning videos I'm on the look out for a 4X4 Fiat panda.

By gawd that estate takes me back, my Mum and Dad had one of those 40 years ago. The three of us kids in the back rolling all over each other round the corners playing the 'no feet and no hands' game

Wish I could have done mine like this

The seats are lovely and comfy in straight line but they don't to much for you around corners do they. Hopefully there wont be any kids in the back of this one anytime soon.

I am at a bit of an advantage working were I do. I wouldn't be able to have any of these cars otherwise.
I'm not nearly as far on as I'd like to be but I got the Mini into the paint room this afternoon and masked everything up.
Hopefully it'll be painted by lunch and I can start getting it put back together by Thursday.
