perhaps the reverse rims idea is a bit dangerous.

the more I look at revolites the more Im not that keen... and the more I look at minilites or ultralites the more Im liking them.

I think the obsession to 'have a change' is taking over lol . where really my main reason for changing wheels is

a) to go from 12 to 10 inchers.

b) my current original minilite style wheels are ugly, knocked up, spray painted and hence the tyres keep going down.

c) would like the wheel to bulge out slightly - ie a bit wider.

Im guessing my current wheels are 4.5 ? wide? or 5? Im not sure.

I do like group 2 arches though .. not the wide ones.. the standard? with a black trim lip. there was a mini in a minimag I have thats light grey with orange steel wheels? and group 2 arches - wheels look like they stick out way too much but I love the stance, the arches..etc.

might just opt for a simple set of minilites and not trying to be too fancy about it. :)

Scrap 10s and go for 13x8s and everyone will like you.

On a serious note don't over complicate things. The general rule i go by is get wheels to fit the arches, not arches to fit the wheels.I had the standard plastic arches like you have in your profile picture and i got away with running 12x6 wheels with a offset of ET7 and they fit perfectly. I also went for 145/70 profile tyres which gave them that chunky look you want with your 10s. If you like i can PM you some pics.

Your current rims are 4.5's

Here's mine on a set of 4.5" reverse rims with 165's

they fill the group2's nicely IMO

I love group 2 arches ... are group 2 arches wider or narrower than standard plastic ones?

went to minifest yesterday and after much wandering about I think I liked reverse rims better than anything else. though its confusing regarding the sizing... so the cooper s are 3.5... 4.5? but the offset means the hub sticks out more and the 'dish' is quite shallow... I only like the ones in this picture - where the dish is a lot deeper. Also - on 4.5 wheels - with a 165 have the effect of bulging out like 'cartoon' tyres? cause I quite like that chunky look :D

group 2 aches also are the only way Id go... unless I stick with the standard plastics.

The S spec steels you can buy new in 3.5 or 4.5 have the correct offset so that they will sit inside an unarched shell, the reverse rims (normally referred to as cooper reverse rims) like I've got fitted above can only be found used. The 165/70's do bulge a little on a 4.5" rim, but not excessivly

I think Im looking for Dunlop reverse rims ... so 5" wide with quite a deep rim.

Im guessing im looking for old wheels - with the possibility oh doing them up. with some 165/70s

on with the search!
