Thanks. There's very few left - quite difficult to say exactly how many but less than 20 probably. Some of the bits are almost impossible to get hold of. So few selling bits and also buying.
Cripes!
I knew they were rare but didn't realise how rare. I believe the centre console and clock are very difficult to find now. It's great people like you are keeping these rare limited editions on the road.
Cheers, Steve

I have a brand new original centre console for these cars, never used, should pop it in the for sale section.

Hi looks really good, I have just brought a silver special to restore so would love to see some more photos and if you have any tips on where to get parts etc. the last owner tried to go for a cooper look but made a poor job leaving it with a split personality. Did you update anything like putting discs on the front. Thanks
cooper look?........what the hell are you going on about?.........ok so its got twin carbs and a big valve head.........which was actually an option (ST performance pack).....the rest of the car was returned to standard (and if you have ever restored an 1100 special then you would know how much of a difficult job it is to get parts etc for them) .....how can you say that I made a poor job?.....did you ever see the car? so I would get your facts straight before you start slating people off.

the straight cut gears are still on it......I think that I'm going to be removing them over the winter and putting helical drops on it

I read that as Anto has just bought one that a previous owner has made to look like a Cooper, not slagging off the car you restored. Maybe you should re-read the post again, as it does say it looks really good!Hi looks really good, I have just brought a silver special to restore so would love to see some more photos and if you have any tips on where to get parts etc. the last owner tried to go for a cooper look but made a poor job leaving it with a split personality. Looks mint! I'm starting to really appreciate the limited editions now. More of them need restoring like this one!
