For that type of specialist Mini I would think 'Bonhams' who have sold several unusual classic Mini's for good prices in recent years. They are based in Oxford:-

731 was the press car. Slightly lowered. Bit of -ive camber. That was lovely to drive.
Looks like it only lasted 5 years according to dvla.

One of the people who helped put together my Minisprint has an Avonbar engine that came out of a Mini 30 that was bought to restore but scrapped because the shell was too far gone. From the info in this thread, the spec is ZX. It came out the car with a Jack Knight 5 speed. He would be prepared to part with it to help somebody recreate a genuine car that is without engine and agreed that I put it on here as he does not want to have to deal with eBay/ a lot of questions etc. I've asked him to look for the engine number and to contact the person he got it from about the reg number of the scrapped car (which he believes was declared scrapped to the DVLA). I will put any more info I find out on here.
