Picked up some GTI front struts for free from the mate I helped yesterday - these are from his car, swapped for coilovers. These have Spax 60mm lowering springs, nearly new vented discs, GTI calipers and shocks - just need an anti roll bar to go with them! He also threw in a Pipercross cone filter he had knocking about so this will go on too :)

Also bought this tubular manifold from ebay for £40, think its stainless too! It was very poorly advertised, hence the great price

It runs! Bit of a jump from the last post, but the engine is in and running nicely - just having a few teething problems, need a GTI rad as the manifold hits this one, for some reason the manifold also hits the oil filter and wont go on properly, so some solution to this will have to be found. Pics tomorrow hopefully!

It is indeed - so paranoid that the wiring would be wrong! I also have one pic, shows it pretty well :)
