Is it possible to do a search using chassis number in order to locate a car? Our sportspack cooper went to Jersey and was re registered, never able to find out a anything about where it ended up.

Motor traders with access to the DVLA database can find the reg number and other details via the VIN/chassis number.
You need a friendly car dealer who has access to Experian AutoCheck or similar.......there are sometimes forum members in trade who can help.

Some free HPi check websites used to work via VIN's but most have been stopped due to the new Data protection rules.
