Hi I got a 998cc engine and I wondering which one would be better on a 998cc engine? ?

depends on the level of tune, but a single HIF38 will yield the best results for the least price and complications.

I would not even think about a weber on a road use 998.

HIF 38 carb it would be the cheapest and also the easiets to tune imo

What head and cam is fitted? That will determine which carb is optimum, assuming the exhaust system is correct for the specification.

There is no point in changing just the carb unless a lot of other work is being or has been done.

And then just giving the current carb a fettle and stub stack and suitable filter will help.

Not to mention the inlet manifold.
