For a road Mini the 266/MG Metro cams are the very best for overall performance. I always use one of these unless building a competition engine.

Thank you to you all. Since joining the forum I have read so much and endeavoured to take it all in. It's good to have the likes of cooper man who obviously knows his stuff helping me out.
I am sure to pose many more questions in the near future as I try to build from a shell up, so I apologise in advance

Feel free to ask anything. A few of us on here are also doing 'ground-up' restorations. Currently I'm in the middle of a 1964 850 restoration and am about to start on a 1971 MGB-GT.
We are all here to help.
