I think the doubt with 200bhp is coming from your lack of experience and the shells lack of structural integrity. You are looking at about 400bhp per tonne, thats the same sort of power to weight as a lambo mucialago. In a mini that is ridiculous. The sort of car thats built for that power is fine but the mini was designed for 35bhp so it wont take 200 without it bending and whatnot.
Clearly you have some experience with being around powerful cars. But starting out driving with a 200bhp mini isnt a good idea. I would like I said recommend starting with a 1275 mini or similar to get a feel for how it is. Racing would be the best way as you can start now! You can always modify that to give more power once you have some experience.
Incidentally you wont likely get the power down to the road very well and will suffer from extreme torque steer, you will likely need an LSD and in a fwd car they aren't ideal (tend to cause power on understeer) It will handle like a pig.
