Wonder what will become of all the salvage, bound to be repairable vehicles among the 1200 Jaguar / Landrover / MINIs?

When we send cars for export by shipping they all have their towing eyes fitted so that they can be strapped down by the shipping agents. I would imagine JLR do the same

I forgot all about this!
Latest news as of today is that they have reduced the list from 52 degrees to 25 degrees by removing the water from the car decks that was taken in whilst it was stricken.
They have planned to tow the ship back to Southampton port for a full assessment and are awaiting for optimal conditions.

I thought they'd floated it and towed it off, end of story?

I think it will be a while before they get it safe to sail under it's own steam again

I drive past it daily as well. I have to agree, it looked pretty upright, but they want no more than 5 degrees of list so they can unload in Southampton.

Judging by how most of the cars were driven off looking relatively undamaged, I guess most we're strapped down on board

Thanks for sharing!
I hadn't thought to read up on this for a few days now.
Wonder what they WILL end up doing with the cargo?
