Thanks Yeti21586.

Here's another turbo setup completed for a 998. This is using a GT1544 turbo which is a nice size for a road spec 998. This has been designed to fit in without the need for a bulkhead box.

I've had a fair few requests for a sidemount setup for the A series and this is the first setup made to customer requirements. I now have a second side mount manifold in progress, which will be for the GT series turbos as a straight bolt on setup.

Hi, can you do a nice inlet manifold for a hif 44
Carb. It's for a 1275 tuning a swifttune sw5 cam
With a brake servo. Would like a good performance up grade.
Thanks paul

Hi Paul, yes shouldn't be a problem making an inlet up. I've made a few inlet manifolds for the the weber setup so an SU setup won't be a problem. If you've got the room between the carb and bulkhead extending the inlet manifold length will improve your low/mid range torque.

How much would something like this cost for a 1275? Might be looking into the turbo route but have no idea what turbo to use and don't want to cut the bulkhead

I do a standard manifold an downpipe to fit a gt1752 turbo, which is £375 for the complete kit. The above setup was a custom setup for a different turbo, so something like that is £450.

Thanks Yeti21586.

Hi, mini mananan, Sorry for the late reply, I did read your post, I was just awaiting a costing for the HIF flange before quoting a price. Yes I can make you up a custom inlet like you had shown. I can do this for £175. Thanks.

Cheers Matty, I assumed you hadn't read it.  I had my doubts anout that design after reading another book on inlet manifolds. I'll have another think about it.

What are your concerns with it? What is the reason behind moving the carb off to side? I may be able to suggest an alternative design for you. Thanks

Concerns were particles of fuel 'clinging'to the outside of the curve! Cylinders 3 and 4 getting a disproportionate share of the mixture.
I would like to move the carb mouth 'out of my face' making it easier on the ears, also run a mahoosif long 3D printed bellmouth for torque.

I see, it would be difficult to predict whether it would effect the atomising or not without dynoing it. Having a rough texture inside the inlet will help prevent this, I have bead blasted the inside of some of the race manifolds I have done to help prevent this.

If you are wanting to increase the runner length for better low/ mid range then Vizard recommends increasing the runner length between the inlet and carb for better results, instead of using trumpets, may be worth considering?

Changing the entry angle of the trumpets also has an effect of how well the the pulse tuning works, so if you have access to a 3D printer it's worth trailing a few different ones out.

Just looking at your site the Turbo Tecnics manifold with a twist might be the sort thing I'm speculating about.  I'll mull it over, cheers for the input.
