pour a watering can of water though the letter box, and blow in some seeds....
Instantly ruined carpet! its even better if they go on holiday, as when they come back, its like a carpet of moss!! (not that I havn't done this myself
Anyways... project update!!
Welding is now finished!!!! well almost, only bit I've got to do is the mk1 light plates!
Apanels are a pain in the arse! spesh when you need to weld the mk1 inner apanel too!

One done... took me about 2 hours to get this one right!
Progress of the other side....

Underneth the filler... I found a surprise... the scuttle is ok!

As she stands now... Look proud imo, bit like I am, the fact its mostly steel and not filler now

All that needs doing is, the Mk1 light plates, and a very small patch on the driver floor pan.
But other than welding, next job is to clean up the inside, I have some hammerite, and some thinners, I am going to give the inside a dose of hammerite, and then start to rebuild the inside!!!
Ordering a toad alarm system next month, so that will be fitted before I continue with the rebuilding of the interour!
But now shes in the garage, I cam properly strip her, subby off maybe next weekend, good clean up, lick of red paint, and then rebuild it... poly and metal mounts.
Once thats done, hopefully, I can look at getting the doors sorted, and drill the A panels and the doors ready for the hinges. then bit by bit, it'll start looking like a mini again!

I was test fitting the doors as I went...dog how do you know the A panels are welded in the right place with out fitting the doors ?
I have done the mk1 extruanl conversion, thats what the panel behind the A panel is...
So the next hard task is to send my doors off for repair, and then, drill the holes out, and fit the hinges...
Don't panic bungle I made sure I was 110% sure they were in the right places!

Thanks for the concern thou Bungle!!
Yes its a great feeling knwoing that its steel!! and not bloody filler!
To think I almost scrapped it!
Just feeling that as each bit arrives it can go stright on, etc etc... Like jack said, I now have a blank steel canvas to play with now... I know how i want it, its getting there slowly
