Hello,

I have just purchased my first Mini! Since I am in Canada, I have to figure out some daytime running lights to pass Safety (similar to MOT).

I was thinking to wire the front sidelights (the smaller 3893 4Watt bulb inside the headlight assembly) to the main igniton line so that starting the car would turn only the front sidelights on. However, since the lights are run in parallel with the tail lights, license illumination, etc. I am guessing I would have to cut the sidelight wires and connect directly to ignition (white wire)?? Or does anyone know of a better alternative?

Any input appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Chris
