Even worse in a Midas, and even more annoying as you can't really see much out the back window anyway.

I also get dazzled by oncoming cars with my eyes at about 6 foot up in my van. Whether it's idiots misusing beam adjusters or chavvy aftermarket bulbs I don't know, but it amazes me the lights on modern cars could actually be legal. Don't get me started on indicators in headlights

I have to agree with you Ethel, the modern day cars do seem to have brighter lights even if the wattage is the standard ie: 55 watts or so.

There are a lot of cars that sit lower down than a mini but, they may also be equipped with modern bulbs or the stupid blue type which are associated with that particular type of person.

I run four spotlights on the front of my mini on an above and below system, two Cibie Oscar plus type on the top with two Lucas spots below. I have put 110 watt bulbs in the Cibies and 55 watt bulbs in the Lucas spots which are switched  but, the Cibies can be switched on with my main beam, woe betide anyone who comes towards me with their lights on full beam as they get the full works from me.... seems to do the trick

Perfect weapon against those stupid SUV drivers who behave as if they rule the roads and think that they can bully mini drivers.

Luckily my rings are so worn that all I have to do is let off the accelerator for a second and that's enough to make anyone back off

I have dreamed of rigging a plastic mirror on my rear shelf that I could raise and lower when needed. Shoot that light right back at them!

Yes some lights are far too bright, but it is not only cars some cyclists have incredibly bright lights and they are so out of alignment that also is becoming a problem.

I was blinded recently by an oncoming cyclist who had an incredibly bright LED lamp on his cycle helmet......obviously it was moving around with his head which mean't the beam was being sent in all directions!

The cyclists over here travel round in herds of 10 or so, I call it the Mark Cavendish effect, you should try meeting them, I had to pull over a couple of weeks ago, I literally couldn't see the road!

And as for those 'hidden' indicators, grrrrr!

Regards indicators in headlamps...ive seem a few cars now, Evoque..audis, where the normal light will turn off when indicating and then come back on afterwards.

The auto dim mirror in my daily works really well and I notice when I'm in a car without!

But when I've looked to retrofit one, there doesn't seem to be any which could stick to the windscreen, the seem to bolt to an attachment in the roof :/

And it also stops mosquitoes following you.

That's a good idea. I've been noticing lately that alot of new cars I can't see the indicator until the car is passing me, eg a car going round a roundabout. I think he / she isn't indicating then I see it. Thinking about it I reckon they have been indicator in headlamp ones. What were they thinking?

Haha that's a bonus. Does it really repel them?

What do you think about indicators in headlights mate?

No don't start him on that, because it'll start me off on that as well, and the last time that happened I started a whole ranting thread here on the subject!

Yep sure does. Please excuse my ignorance but you have mozzies in the UK don't you, or do they get frozen to death?
