I'm gonna say it...

I think you have rather high expectations of the car, there are issues that need to addressed for sure, paint defects etc.  But most of this is part and parcel of owning an old car.

Panel fit from the factory wasn't great, glue stains on the headling are from factory glue.

Alloy wheels can lose pressure even on new cars, and the older they get the more chance they have of leaking.

Your car is 20 odd years and things will break and need replacing, you need to be prepared for this.

For a £2500 job you aren't going to get a new car, lets's see some pictures of the whole car.

Looks to me like the garage is prepared to be reasonable from the tone of responses. I think I'd start by working with them a bit with some guidance on the key stuff from on here :-)

I would like to see the steps sorting as this is just poor workmanship and nothing else but.

They have agreed to do that so good on them.

I think you should take the car there and see what they are prepared to do and think seriously about accepting.

Good luck and keep us informed

Ben

Any updates on this?

Also it would be helpful to see some pictures of the car,not just detail ones.
