looks absolutely lovely especially with the webbers but if your stuck for a garage you could always build a bottom end in your house/bedroom
when my sister moved out I wanted to convert my her bedroom into an engine building workshop but unfortunately was vetoed on that pretty quickly, had a dishwasher, tools and everything ready to move in aswell

Dont give up mine is a long way out of tune running out of fuel at about 4800rpm and I run a SW10 cam so doesn't come on cam until 3400rpm I still managed to keep up with a freshly built 1380 by a reputable mini tuner, the torque of this engine seems a massive jump from my mpi
Save up some cash and build a good bottom end they don't take up much space

The problem for me is that my workshop, garage etc is a strip of tarmac by my front door. If I had otherwise the head would most definitely gone onto a tweaked bottom end. As for paying someone else to do the same there`s no-one within miles who would know what they are looking at even, It`s all curry and pizza round here
Hi..Hazel do not give up I stripped my engine on a bit of carpet on the gravel drive.........its the rebuild you realy need a bench....lol

Too late, the head and carbs have gone, the 1275 is sat on a pallet yielding the odd bit and there is a tweaked 1380 sitting in the hole now just waiting for the 27th so`s I can get his carb and some other bits and then...............................Clubby lives!!!

Bloody `ell, lol. It`s an A+ engine with all parts reground so just like new basically. I think the valves are bigger than standard but I won`t swear to that. The cam is a Piper 266 with high lift rocker shaft from MiniSport (boy do those springs close up!) The carb, when it arrives at Minispares on the 27th, will be a HIF44 which everybody including the engine builder has recommended. I have fitted a stainless LCB and am waiting for the stainless connecting pipe to arrive so`s I can fit my lovely stainless twin pipe RC40 box. Flywheel is lightened steel, flat-top Powermax or better pistons, vernier timing set up, powerspark dizzy, Viper coil, NGK plugs and that`s about the lot I think. Roll on the 27th, I`m getting quite orgasmic in anticipation. OH!, yea, it`s got a beefed up gearbox, central oil pick-up, straight cut transfer gears and a cross pin diff giving a 3.1:1 final drive.
