As Ben says, the imperfections you see are in the primer, the basecoat is only thin and has no filling properties and the clearcoat just magnifies the poor prep. Its a flat and repaint jobby.

Salvage A Dodgy Respray...any Ideas?

Hi Guys, thanks for your advice so far, here are some pictures to show the state of the paint job:
The whole car isn't this bad, its just around detail spots like windows and the roof join.
So what's best to sort these problem areas out? Not sure what paint it is, but its described as a Metallic Gun metal

I would give that a mop with G3 and a polish, it won't get rid of the imperfections but it give it a bit more 'shine' which will help to make it a little less noticeable until you get round to doing something more permanent.

Yeah, I'm kind thinking the respray will be done sooner or later! The more I look at it, the imperfections I see and wonder what's hidden underneath!...
