Here is my 1989 mini Mayfair.

If only I'd known sooner about oversills. I think there may be a fair bit of rust behind them!

The welds on the inner winsg looked a bit shabby so decided to take them off today, along with the rest of the front end.

There's quite a few holes but not too bad overall.

Got it braced up today ready for cutting off the oversills tomorrow to see what lurks beneath.

Then got to work cutting off the first oversill.

I think this sides inner sill can be patched. Not much left of the outer. Fortunately I have a new one waiting to go on.

Nope that inner sill is shot, not worth trying to rescue it, believe you would be wasting your time. You will need inner sills to first flute from M Machine.

Starting work on the drivers side now.
Oversill is off. Looks a bit nasty.

Thanks. Sometimes think I've taken on a bit much but starting to see some good progress now.

I'm assuming the holes in the floor are no longer of any use and I'm OK filling them in.

Finished cutting off part of the drivers side flitch ready for some new metal.

Finally finished cutting out the drivers side inner sill ready to fit the new panel. Did it without having to take the bin out as well. It looks like a new door step is needed though, just when I thought i'd finished buying new panels!

The front ones? I've got new inner wing repair panels to fit once it's off of the spit. In hindsight I should have just bought the full panels.
