NO not at all, the only thing related to the front windscreen are wipers and demisters.

Amazing project :shifty: look the best bike engine mini i have seen ;D you should be very happy with what you have made.

How did you fit the headlining? was it just a case of cutting the foam to shape and then sticking it on or did you do something different? the reason i asked is because i have fitted a webasto sunroof so i need to fit a new headlining and using foam looks like a good solution as the original headlining look very tricky to get to fit nicely.

Sorry jordie I am already on with the next project. I think its going to be the fastest Monte Carlo in the world :D

Tomf The headlining is foam rubber @ 10mm thick glued in place.

The car passed its test today no problems. Its brand new so it couldn't really fail. And the mileage 134 miles strange.
The sound proofing has really done its job weighing only 3 or 4 kg I cannot believe how quiet it is, well worth doing.
While the weather was fine I had a good blast about and the engine temperature never went above 90. I need to pay more attention to the suspension set up. I put another 65 miles on after the test and I am getting that feeling I don't need to carry tools any more.

Hi Koss, say, that big plate on the grill doesnt cause it to aver heat??

That is just a temporary trade plate until the road tax is paid. Sometimes referred as transportation plates her in the UK :D
The plate is usually displayed in the windscreen but I couldn't see where I was going.

Oh, ok. I know we have to be careful where we put the plate. especialy with a small area like the mini grill. even tho our plates are a lot smaller they still interfier with air flow..

Ok, I'm officially dying to see piccies of the Monte Carlo - when are you going to start your thread?

Oh, and by the way, you might have some competition for fastest Monte - Chris is tempting me with a turbo kit as we speak. want to race?

I think its going to be the fastest Monte Carlo in the world :D

I have started gathering bits for my next project Aric. I had a chat with Chris on Saturday but I want to make my own kit around 500 bhp.

I am going for this turbo and a spare engine. But that will be in the next build diary. :D
