We left bout 6.30 and my car wouldn't start, fine all week, but not now.
Had to hack up there, though worth it for the 1/8 mile that Pippy did. I did find the Mini forum stand on the way to the pits, but I think you must have all been looking round the cavacade.
Hope you enjoyed your day up there anyway. Chesney made it in the end, so his first show is out of the way.

Thanks for completely embarassing me JamesM!!!!!!A big well done to Pippy.
FASTEST WOMAN ON THE 0-60!!!!!!!!!
Well done you!
I must just add that I was only told that I was the fastest girly up to the point that I went out... which was about 12.45, and I think they stopped at 1 ish didn't they?
Will post piccies later.. have got a priceless one of me hanging onto the steering wheel like my life depends on it. I do however think I should get bonus points for playing the 'Self Preservation Society' as I went down the track tho!

I went down it and Im not really sure I even got to 60 before I had to start braking?!?!?!? Ah well at least it was on the Silverstone track!!!!
The forum stand was a bit out of the way near the pits so thats probably why people couldnt see it, shame really. It wasnt really the kind of show for a forum stand as there was too much to see.

Ha Ha... it was a giggle. :tongue:I went down it and Im not really sure I even got to 60 before I had to start braking?!?!?!? Ah well at least it was on the Silverstone track!!!!
My hubby kept giving me all these tips and stuff and all I could think was, please don't let me stall this car!!!!!
I just remember seeing the arrow signs for where we had to turn off the track, thinking 'OMG I'll never stop in time' and then employing my favourite tool in the car... the handbrake
Couldn't tell you how fast I was going... too scared to look at the clocks.

Eventhough it was windy, at least it didn't rain and the sun was out!!! I managed to catch the sun!!
I didn't see the Forum stand which was a shame!!! Well didn't have that much time, I was spending too much money!!!
Calvacade was good but it was a shame that they kept it to a single lane, as it took ages for us to get around!!!
Did see Charlie Brown on the way home he passed us not long after leaving Silverstone!!
Hope everyone enjoyed it!!!!

i think the only down bit to the weekend was the weather.
the campsite was a good laff with some people bringing the golf clubs and balls trying to drunkedly shoot there balls into the water
also worrying that i may not have a tent in the morning
as for the show there was way to much to see.
did pop over and try and see the stand found it but no one home
also did anyone stand next to that twin engine monster when he started up next to the mini mag stand i think my ears are still ringing now.
but i fell sorry for the bloke when he do the 0-60 sprint and fluffed it twice
