Hi all,

I'm returning to mini's after a few years off, does anyone have any advice for suspension set-up for road use I have a mk1 cooper which has been converted to standard dry suspension on 10" wheels.

I kept these suspension parts which are in still in good condition and usable.

Hilos

adjustable rear camber brackets

adjustable front tie bars

adjustable bottom arms

I will be purchasing new adjustable shocks and knuckle joints I used spax in the past but from memory they were quite harsh even on the lowest setting, I'm in favour of lowered GAZ ones this time or an alternative ? are they any good ?

Also does anyone have settings for suspension for front and rear

ride height

camber

castor

toe

Cheers Dave

well to answer your question mine set up for fast road and very happy with it

I have protech shocks, 1.5 camber 3-4 castor and 1 - 2m toe out

rear just got about .25 camber

its lowered with hi los with touch taken off the rubber bump stops

and can slide the front of my finger in the gap

I have new genuine rubber cones on the front

you may want to leave the bump stops as is but make sure about 12mm gap

I use mine for B roads around near me its a fun car, not my main car

I run mine at 200mm sills to floor, with -1.5 camber on the front with 5.5 degrees of castor as close to parallel as possible / a touch of toe out.

Rears are set -0.5 degrees of camber and some toe in.

Seems Ok but I feel the 10x7 wheels have hampered the handling.
