From personal experience of rover k-series engined cars I'd highly advise against one, 3 out of the 4 I've had suffered major HGF probs. I've heard the later ones were much better, but still a major design flaw.
K-series was also used by Lotus, there are plenty of cars using K-series (there's even a 1.4 making around 200bhp) and lots of them are minis.
TomF,.... car's looking shexshy!!!!

Yea well as im moving house im going to lost my garage but as soon as i can sort out another garage, ill be buying a mini to start the k-series project, ill get the body work done on that then on with the k-series it will be
That one will be de-bumpered, and have the side 4 seams taken off, and maby the frant and rear rood seams, but the side seams will be left, because of water issues.
Then once the rest of the rust and bits are sorted ill fabricate the metro frame, ill probs have this done before this point though lol.
Then for this project ill have a go at spraying it myself
but anyways iv still got it finish this one first lol.

Paul buffering the bonnet.

Smooth

Mini on the trailer, heading back home.

Got the car home and we gave it a wax.

We then got the role cage in place, not bolted down yet but in the 1/2 cut down bins

Then got the door, sunroof + a few other lil bits fitted:

The i got the boot on:

I then fitted the rear lights:

I then got the front end fitted.

I then got all the wrring out and arranged it all, it looks a mess but yea that sorted :S

I then got out the gauges and started fitting them to the dash
