So after doing a 1.8 kseries mini I've decided to buy a different shell and start again but this time do it properly!

plan for the engine is: custom manifold to put turbo over gearbox, garrett gt28rs turbo,z and f ecu, radiator in the rear.

So the shell has been tubbed de seemed flat boot floor, has been moddifed to use coilovers, remove able steel front needs no welding icon_smile.gif it was an a series turbo at some point

so far ive made the subframe, sorted gearlinkage, just another 1000jobs to do :(

just a  thought, but its worth considering the 1.4k over the 1.8 for turboing,

basically with a lot of boost you can get to the point where you split liners, the 1.4 has thicher liners so you can just throw boost at it if you take precautions against det ( water and mathanol injection)

Dennis/evolution in the link below has had great results on the 1.4 engine, and it would be wise IMO to look at his spec and emulate it, its all in the link, but basically 1.4 bottom end ( the one with forged pistons (mpi?)) uprated topcaps, turbo from a sunny gtir, 50/50 water/ meth injection and a ton of boost.

Getting there slowly moved the car to chard now do don't have to drive out to merriot anymore :)

Plan before I go back to work is:
Rebuild engine
Rebuild drive shafts
Paint inside of car
Strip and paint underneath the car
