I used to work in IT support - got all sorts of daft people (internal 'customers') best 2 have to be:

The time I received a very angry support ticket that complained that their work laptop was running slow and that it was my fault for installing software that was too intensive... The laptop was 3 weeks old, I had put the company's stock windows image onto it - the only non standard windows application was the software they used for their job, sales processing and tracking stuff... After explaining that this would not cause any system slow down I went to look at the laptop in person as I couldn't vnc into it, which is odd... I tabbed out of their work program and found a torrent client running (on our network at that!) that was downloading 'pornographic material' from the pirate bay, stuff he already had obviously already opened and gave admin permission too (because all porn is a .exe file right?!) had packed the machine full of bloatware and viruses. Long story short - he was sacked!

The other (not so sinister) one is when I was called for a 'non functioning mouse' I went down to the users pc to find the replacement mouse we had given her two days ago in its box on her desk... Had to wonder what she had been doing for the two days inbetween...
