Hi, Can anyone identify a head for me please? It has got 'MOWOG - AEG163' and '4A' as part of the moulded head and, also, 5230, 75-165, and a B on the side of the upper face and a W in the middle of the front stud lug (between the middle two spark plug holes). It is an 11 stud head.

Any info would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

JJ

Well the casting should be from an early Cooper S.

Thanks for the info Nicklouse - any idea on what the stamped letters and numbers might represent?

Probably been modified, going by the numbers 5230 and 75-165

Check carefully for any cracks between the valve seats, this was an issue with the 163 heads.
