Hello,

I am currently working on a project to help other Mini Owners around the world!

The project is soon to be launched on Kickstarter to help raise the funds needed to get the app out there into the wilder.

Here is a short video to help introduce the project:

In order to get the app made Kickstarter require the campaign to be fully funded, and that is where I will need help from others in the Mini Community!

Thanks

Matt

This isn't true.

This is an app for your mobile phone, that works in the same way as Tinder/Facebook, You don't hear about car theives using Tinder to steal cars!

Eg:
2_1x.jpg

The map used in the video is only "artistic representation", you will not get a map like the one shown in the video above.

Oh, well then i suggest the video gets changed quick as it gives the impression of a big map with lots of points marking where valuable classic cars can be stolen from.

And to be fair, you do hear of all sorts of weird and nasty stuff happening to people who meet partners through social media and dating sites

Not all, obviously

This is an app, that gives direct access to other Mini entusiasts, without the drama of Facebook,

Many people still don't use Facebook for the reason of not wanting the drama, or feel they are not able to use Facebook.

This gives you access to people you share a common interest with, people you perhaps wouldn't normally meet.

Kind of like a mini forum then?

Somewhere like minded enthusiasts can chat about their cars and issues?

Perhaps even somewhere people can arrange to meet up (without the drama of Facebook).

Now where would you find a place like that......??

And? Why would I want to invest in that?

If you don't like Facebook there are many places that do just that and more and have been around for years.

Wholly cow, now there's a new and smart idea, who woulda thought?

Now all we need is someone to kick it off and then hopefully attract some people to join in.

Maybe would could get them from facebook?

Personally the traditional forums like TMF provide everything I need or like in order to make contact with fellow enthusiasts around the world. All the latest apps and facebook type 'social media' seem to be for those who like to spend most hours of the day on their smartphones living in a 'virtual world'..............while getting nothing much done in the real world anymore!

Fixed that for you...

Sat in doc's waiting room the other day, watching several young mums neglect their wailing kids, flip-flipping on their smartphones. The one next to me was just flipping through her list of apps, waiting for an update. Just weird. I felt list me saying "you have a real person, right there in front of you, desperate for some human contact, LEAVE THE SMARTPHONE ALONE!!!!"

Sorry for the less than kind post earlier, I do admire your enthusiasm, interest and a want for 'spreading the love' so to speak, though I think the over all feeling I'm reading here is there's enough and great contact via this forum.

Personally, I have to say, I'm getting a little jack of having so many different modes of contact these days, once it was simple, a phone or face to face. Now, I find myself spending 1/2 the day going across all the forums, facebook, emails and faxes in between answering the mobile while the poor customer is on hold on the land line, though he's likely up dating his twitter account (what ever twitter is).

I really do think the world is going the wrong way.
