Hi folks

forgive the thread revival and the silly question. I am replacing my standard 1275 metro (12HD09) camshaft and followers as the followers were showing signs of pitting.

 

I am looking at the minispares evolution camshafts as they are reasonably priced and I am not particularly interested in out and out performance, this will be a car for pootling to picnics and cruising to the beach

 

With these "performance" camshafts do I need to uprate the valve springs etc?

 

I'd honestly prefer a new standard replacement camshaft so it doesn't stress any other components any more - are they still available? I'm having difficulty finding one.
