Just in case people don't know what I'm on about. Here's some pics

There's a bit if angle iron welded on as a bracket with holes in already. May be the newer amc cub had 2 pairs of quadrants

I would say that a second set of quadrants would fit just nicely in them there holes. should work better as well.

Was let loose with a can of paint earlier. Though I try a few bits and bobs and panels

Also gave the bonnet a hair cut

Started to mount the wiper mechanism in and realised there wasn't enough room to mount it using the strap in the normal way. So now I have to make a bracket to hold it place.

Wasn't sure about the bonnet hump ( still not 100%) but with it sprayed up, it makes it look better. If I decide against it at a later date I'll just put the black slats directly on the bonnet.

These arrived the other day from Bullmotif. Excellent service from them as usual. In a bit of a quandary, seems a shame to spray the nice shiny new chrome bits. Might just vinyl wrap them and then spray.

My mate cubbacub came round today to get some welding done for the MOT. Took the opportunity to do a comparison piccy.

Welded up the wiper motor brackets

And now I have a wiper mechanism that folds with the screen

Also weldeed in the captive nuts that house the stainless steel 8mm grub screws that will hold the screen frame secure.

I have Brakes! There seams to be abit of pedal travel, could this be because I haven't adjusted the rear drums /shoes yet? I don't need to pump them. There just seems abit more travel than normal.

And why is it that every time I bleed brakes I knock over my jam jar full of spent fluid and flick fluid everywhere with the pipe when taking it off the bleed screw! doh

I've always ended up putting neg camber on every mini I have owned so why break a habit?
So fitted 1.5 neg cam arms and adjustable heavy duty tiebars. Definately gives him a better stance ( not that you can see it in the pic)

Finished off the screen support for the other side and sprayed abit more wing
Attached File  20170713_145818-1.jpg   42.79K   7 downloads

New front indicator/side lights sprayed up. Did try to wrap the chrome and then spray but it looked crap so bit the bullet and sanded the chrome and sprayed.
Attached File  20170713_145812.jpg   33.57K   5 downloads

and finally cut a section out of the dash as I want to make the drivers side into more of a pod for the gauges

I love these 'unusual' builds. How do you find the time ?
