Yes the one set i believe not to be timken...

HOWEVER..... the second set as stated. Are genuine timken.etched on both bearing race and bearing and came out of sealed packets ..

but what i did notice....although etched the codes between the bearing and the races did NOT match which i thought was odd.
The codes on the non genuine races matched them of the timkens. ..
I think what im now going to do before i go ANY further is im going to order another "timken" and see how it looks when it arrives before fitting anything else.

Because timken on not it still had the same problem.

If the codes etched don't match then they are not a matching pair, I wouldn't use them but it's up to you, as before good luck.

It sounds like someone in the supply chain is up to their usual tricks. Sad, but it happens a lot nowadays.

Your best bet is indeed to procure a genuine matched pair of Timkens. I hope it goes well.

I second that! It is ONLY by naming and shaming, and preferably by reporting to Trading Standards, that the supply of improper and often unsafe parts will be reduced. Do nothing and the spivs and fraudsters freely continue to flood the market with dangerous goods. And I don't mean Mini parts specifically, the problem is widespread.

I have the same problem with my bearings. Minispares article GHK1805 Genuine Timken box, quality of the bearings looks verry good but there is a gap between the nut and pin.
