I'm currently 19 and have a year and a half no claims. I went on moneysupermarket with me as the main driver, policy holder and so on, filled everything out honestly with the milage at 7000. The modifications were:
None standard engine
Removal of seats
exhaust changes
uprated brakes
suspension changes
braided brake lines
wider wheels and tyres
wider arches
interior changes
sunroof
spotlights
dashboard changes
sports steering wheel
roll bars
replacement seats

Got a quote from complete driver as £4700

Adrian Flux £650 with no named drivers and £250 compulsory.

Yeah I'm currently with them atm and it was around £780. Make sure you do talk to them and ask if there's anything else they can do to make it cheaper but they should offer you the quote they gave on the website. Please don't rush into it before making double checking everything first!!

Ive been with Adrian Flux for all of my cars for a long ol time and never had any issues with them. I joined them mainly on the above due to quote they gave me, when I was changing my cam and going to a weber the people I were with at the time wanted around another £400 on top of what I was paying...er no ta! So called Flux's straight after and declared everything and they were even cheaper with all of the mods covered to what I was paying before

I've just been on the phone with them for about 20 mins. Apparently they wouldn't be able to cover me as the quote on moneysupermarket was from there sister company.

Try ringing HIC, they're a sister company within the Adrian Flux group.

Any luck with flux? I've been getting my quotes from comparethemarket and flux were the only people to want to insure me (similar age and mods to you) Did they ask your engine size?

A lot of them do that on the comparison sites to entice you in and get you to ring them. They give you a stupidly low quote (in my case sub £100, 9+ years no claims) but then when you go through/call them, they refuse the offer due to the age of the car, car value, employment status, usage etc. and triple the offer or refuse completely. Witch makes using them a bit of a lottery.
