Just take the cap off and see whether there are points inside. It is that easy, and as quick as posting the question, far less waiting for possibly irrelevant replies.
Read my opening post:-
"So, was going to check the points, but can't tell if I have any.
When I took the dizzy cap off, I didn't see any points, just the rotor arm.
Are they hidden behind a plate?"
I was unsure whether I had points or not.

Thanks.
Mines definitely an electronic ignition type, the dizzy looks nothing like the ones in the link.
New dizzy cap, rotor arm, ignition module & Intermotor coil ordered.
Let's see if that cures the problem!

make sure it is the correct coil for the dizzy. they are not all the same.

And change one thing at a time so you can isolate the problem.

Yeah, thinking about it that maybe the wrong one.
Electronic dizzy with the ignition module should be non ballast, right?

Had time last night to start removing the ignition parts for inspection.
First up was the ignition module:-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but those connections have seen better days!!!

I have new ignition module and connector to the coil. So they will be replaced anyway.

Sounds like you have a 65dm4. The dizzy cap screws on and the metal body is in 2 parts hiding the electronics inside. Google yourself some piccies , there's no mistaking them - and use the correct coil GCL143 or equivalent for a 65 dizzy.
