So, how fast have you had your little beasts people? Obviously anything over 70 will have been on a circuit... cough...

What have you got, how did you get it and how brown were your trousers in doing so?!

Over 120mph before I had the Engine Rebuilt.  It was past that but to be fair I wasn't paying too much attention to the speedo at that point as was concentrating on keeping it on the road and not into a hedge or down the side of a cliff and into the countryside!  Top gearing is 150mph in 6th now (if it will actually do that with it's brick like aerodynamics)!

I'm just about finished putting proper rubber (Red-Dots) on and an Evacusump breathing system on it, the gearing has been changed too as well as the cam at it runs sooo much better.  Which reminds me, I must take it out for a proper blast soon!

I buried the needle on a 90mph speedo on the A2 autobahn in Germany in my standard un-refurbished 1275. It definitely had more in it but I didn't want to knacker my speedo, guess I'll have to get a 130mph speedo and see how we do.

My Mini - 95 MPH, it wasn't screaming or complaining but it wouldn't go any faster....

My Vx Omega Elite V6 - 155 MPH Limited, had more in it but was electronically limited to not go any faster than 155...

My Vx Vectra 2 litre - 135 MPH and would not go any faster....

My Volvo V70 SE Estate 2.4 D5 - dunno yet, need to book a slot sometime on a private test track.... where all of the above was recorded....

Oh well if we're talking other cars, I got stopped by the Dutch Police doing 144mph in my old E36 BMW 318is. They just told me to keep my speed down till I get over the border into Germany, lol.

Just under 90mph with a 1275 engine and stage 1. Felt like it had more in it.

When I had my 850 engine I managed 73mph flat out.

Ah this topic always makes for good television. I'll get the popcorn and await the inevitable standard 998 clubman that will do 100mph... Then a response not long after from Cooperman saying you need circa 80-90hp to hit a ton with a round nose.

I've been a passenger in a 998 doing 130+. But then it was R1 powered and the speedo wasn't my main concern, but the lack of seatbelts.
