Are they right hookers? Japanese maybe.

I think going metric was mooted when we went all European, but it was rejected on the cost of replacing all the road signs.

Now I'm more curious about my minus. One had to have the V5 canceled which allowed me to assume it was thoroughly British. The other I was told it came from England, but no true record

We like Imperial not Metric. Still use inches, feet and yards as well.

Only 95mph, but the road was wonderfully bumpy so I dared not go faster

Thought there was a guy who went to prison for it too. I could be wrong and it'd have been for contempt rather than the original offence.

Fastest I've ever been in a mini was probably my current one (1275 SPi), even then it took me what seemed like half hour just to overtake two lorries! I'm generally a slow lane cruiser, I feel like I even hold up grannies lol.

When I went over the mountain last year on Mad Sunday with my brother.  The speedo (120 mph) and rev counter were both off the scale)!  Was funny piping rather exotic cars and bikes to get out the way!  The look on some of the drivers faces when they were overtaken by a "little olde Mini" was priceless!

And this is the car (and driver) in question setting a new class record on one the stages of the hillclimb that's just been on over here.

All good reading' :) And nice vid, you are certainly motoring!

I remember the joy of touching 110 in my 1300 '99 sports pack - and the look of bemused drivers on the M11...errr i mean Goodwood....yeah Goodwood.

120mph in my 1480 8 port Lucas PI. Yes on a track........................

Edit. Fastest ever? 180mph in a very modified Jaguar XJS. That was on the old kingston bypass many years a go when I was young and fearless.
