The ebay seller will be curious to why there is a spike in his/her sales.

I should have bought a job lot and listed them for 15 quid and linked my own eBay listing in the description! ;)

I've told you, you need to make them up yourself. I'd buy one, because I'm lazy.

It would seem they're already doing that on the US/Canada ebay (product listing).

Still, this is such a fantastic idea it's definitely worth the cost. Thanks very much for sharing this Marc_mcq. :D

Ordered one, granted a bit prematurely for my build but should be very useful indeed!

That looks fantastic. Great work!

My restomod is going to have power windows and locks and I'm planning on keeping the switches on a center console instead of the doors. do you know if there'd be enough room between the shifter and handbrake (and underneath the console) to put those modern style push/pull window buttons?

I'm guessing when you say console, you are on about the plastic tray cup holder thing. I'd say that if you retain the original gear stick gaiter, you wouldn't have anywhere near enough space to mount any switches. Plus, on the underside there is next to no room at all. I made a 5mm spacer to fill the void, so that's about all you've got!

Oof, understood. Ive been looking at the David Brown Mini for inspiration but I dont know if I like their putting the window switches behind the shifter. Too far away. If they dont fit between the handbrake and shifter I think theyll have to live on the dash someplace, but probably underneath the regular switch panel.

Just throwing this out there because I came across this page again: If you mount them to the door cards you have speaker pods. Maybe put the flat part over the window winder? Would be especially cool in cars with power windows fitted because you can put a door handle with power window buttons there...

Love it. good idea. I haven't figured out what to do on my Mini, but for my Corvair I made a cup holder console out of a scrap of a 4Runner console and two diesel filters.
