Good evening on Liberation day here in Jersey ( 77years since the German Army Surrendered to Special forces from UK Landed on May 9th 1945) so today's effort was tackle the head lining Fron Newton Commercial a good match to the old 1 I'm very pleased with the outcome just need to address the corners with a hairdryer lol and cut out the hole for sunroof

good colour match

fitting Dowels in correct place

test fit before final glue

final fit

just need to cut out sunroof and fit frame also tidy up corners with a Hairdryer

Good evening peeps Yesterday I unpacked my Sunroof frame that I cleaned down and resprayed 18months ago only to find they had got scratched so I scotched then back and resprayed them again

and today I fitted the sunroof frame and fitted C-post covers but theh needed modifications

good evening peeps some more done on ERA working on the boot carpeting ect

bootboard needs whipping and then sticking together

Tank carpet board new pieces need stiching and sticking together

wheel arch cover needs stiching together

started sticking carpet to seat wall

also fitted boot light

Interior carpet puzzle

good evening peeps so over the last few evenings I managed to finish the Interior carpeting had to pop a small off cut above the throttle pedal as no part came with set

then finished the wheel arches and fitted front footwell pieces and sill pieces

 just leaves the hand brake gaiter but need to fit hand brake leaver first

Good evening Peeps sorry for the lack of updates but beed a tad busy so fitted new rear screen as old screen lost a wire tab and after failing to repair got new screen from Minispares

broken tab

had wheels powder coated and new NanKang tyers fitted

finally fitted front screen

also mirror and sun blinds

and after wiring up Aux switch panel for UBS and cig lighter socket and foglamp switch and front speakers fitted dash

and finally My engine has had its dyno set up and test

Making some cracking power! 135bhp and 125lbft torque on 6.5psi of boost.

This lovely turbo engine was built some time ago. Patiently sat in assembly room for the ERA Mini it’s destined for to be restored, many thanks to Christopher at Crafted Classic Tuning LTD Very pleased with the Outcome

good evening peeps sorry for lack of updates been very busy work wise and doing home improvements lol so a bit of progress

so plumbed in fuel reg and fuel lines

had new door and rear bin cards by Optimise and fitted them

and finally my engine arrived back in Jersey thanks to CCT

Good evening Peeps sorry for lack of updates as its been very wet here in Jersey but I managed to fix rear seat inplace

also managed to find an upholsterier to sew my carpet pieces for boot

and thanks to Stickyfingers i had replicas of this made for my spotlamps

good evening peeps a little update for followers.

many thanks to Elliot from Retrominiretrim for doing my steering wheel gear knob and handbrake lever

also with the help of my son we managed to install the heart back into the body

but I have a problem with the exhaust its fouling the subframe and inboard pot joint so need to fix this problem noe lol

good evening peeps so a little more done to ERA first was to remove exhaust from turbo and thump a big dent into pipe so it passes the sub frame and inboard joint

better

then had exhaust powdercoated with a heat coat to 450 dec

painted servo and slave cylinder

fitted servo

connected pipes

fitted Aux oil cooler and pipe work

fitted rad

and turbo air intale pipe

just need to cut orange pipe and fit other parts before connecting to air box under wing

good evening peeps a bit more done on ERA finish pipework from turbo to air filter and connected water pipes ect

just have a little problem with dizzy hitting oil cooler pipe to oil filter

also made a booboo months ago when assembling drive shafts to CVs and put the shaft in the wrong way lol so stripped them back and swapped ends and remade them

then inserted them into Inboart pot joints on gearbox and fitted hubs, discs, and calipars

Good evening peeps engine bay almost completed just need some more Jubilee clips, 2 oil gauge T pieces and new plug leads

next job fill master servo and start bleeding brakes

good evening Peeps so finally had a chance to bleed the brake system only to find a stuborn joint which keeps leaking so after 3 new brass connectors and a pipe re cut and reshape I have got good brakes lol

lol looks worse then it was

and finally after 6 years of restoration My ERA is back on its wheels
