Is this sump guard genuine?

Looks like the original Rover guard. Has anyone installed one? Do these bolt to existing mounting points or will drilling be necessary?

Yes you will have to drill holes, 3 at the front and one either side where the legs come to the subframe.

Never the easiest thing to fit, best done on a ramp with a gearbox jack.

That is not a very good sump guard because the angle of the front face is too vertical. When you hit a big bump it puts a big load into the sub-frame and into the front face of the guard.

The best type is the aluminium skid-type (a replica of the old 'Scottish' guard but with aluminium alloy as the plate) with steel fittings. That slides over the bumps much better.

As above, fit an oil cooler when adding a sump guard.

Has anyone fitted the OE sump guard (not the aftermarket options) to their Mini? If so, pictures would be greatly appreciated. I'm considering purchasing one but don't like the idea of drilling into the subframe.

How does an oe sump guard fit if not by bolting it to the sub frame?

to fit any sump guard requires holes drilling in the subframe

And a sump guard should not be fitted unless the sub-frame is fully solid mounted.
