small update

 

just been looking for more rust and unfortunately found some lol

 

can anybody tell me what panel I need for the repair? I can't seem to find it online?

another small update from today.

 

still seem to be finding a huge amount of filler in areas, hard to imagine this mini came with 12months MOT

This turned into a bigger job lol But some awesome work going on there, its one very well sorted MPI Mini now..

honestly wasn't expecting the amount of work needed for this mini... especially for how much I paid, just fibre glass / filler everywhere. should have taken my magnet with me!

Its a good read this thread and shows what the later minis can suffer with but you have sorted the lot with some good decent panels to.

 

Just think once its all done she will be solid and rust free for a long while to come.

Looking good, I'm not a fan of that hadrian quarter repair, there thin and warp like hell. Would you rate your r tech welder, thinking of upgrading. Will it run on a 13 amp plug. Thanks

honestly....im considering changing the whole replacement panel, the fitment is shocking and will require a lot of hammering to get right lol

 

should I have just spent the extra money and gone with heritage.....

 

 I used to have a Clarke mig which I thought was good, but the r tech is just awesome. I have made up 2 leads for it, one on a 13amp plug for anything up to 3-4mm then if im welding anything thinker I use a 32amp plug . will upload some pictures tomorrow and show you what I mean.
