I haven’t been able to update my build on here and unfortunately not a lot has progressed. I have no finished all of the brake lines. A couple of hiccups have occurred where I have had to buy different parts because I must have had metric fittings and imperial mixed up.  But at least now I know how to used a flaring kit and pipe cutter.  But both master cylinders are in. Which is progress.  I have received my order from Newton Commercial for the interior. It is not a factory mini colour, rather an MG interior colour, but they were happy to make it for me and I am happy with the outcome.

Today I decided to make a start on the steering. This is again where nothing seemed to go right.   I looked up the indicator stalk part number for the mini k and bought that part.   But when i went to put it onto the outer column, the column is way too narrow.   Is there something that goes in between the two? Then I put on the shroud and that it too long and again don’t know if there is anything missing that goes underneath the shroud and the colouring to help it fit properly.

if anyone knows where I am going wrong please help me.

Mini Ks used a shorter column shroud, same as early clubman. Not sure if the column was a different length.

Thank you for your help 68 Deluxe. I found a clubman style shroud and I’ll try that out over the weekend.

I picked up the interior from the trimmers. New foam and covers for the back seat, new covers for the front seats, new cover for the speaker board under the back seat too. I’m happy with the results.
