Tried the door andwit fits tidy even gaps all around after drilling a few small holes for self tappers so an go back in the same position i removed the outer and stiffener for a good clean up of the inner surfaces before final welding next step make the door step

Set up the shorter folder (1000mm) this will fold up to 2.5 mm sheet its perect for making door steps in 1.2

My other folder is a 150 mm x150 c section of cut i clamp to this to make my swages ime going to make some legs for it as its a handy chunk of iron

Cant be any worse than the magnum panels which i have here they dont fit at all well

Shame the Hadrian steps are crap and we have to resort to heritage. If you make them well I'm sure lots of people on the forum would be interested in some. Good luck with the build.

Thanks mate if anyone has a genuine step they would be willing to take the measurements off in order to make them accurately that would be great mine have been potched with in the past

Busy two days makin the swages in the floor pan and (decided to do them full length of the panel) and i then have the option of not putting the shallow tray at the front should i decide i also made the door step panel i need to make some tooling out of flat bar to make the last bend this 1 will be a two peice welded but i can easily make it from 1 piece with a 4mmx15 mm strip of flat

Very happy with them to be honest they will need shaping at the front and return lips but thjts a peice of cake
