my idea was the car was strong enough as it was [maybe!] i took measurements on the glass in 3-4 places for each window, then cut the roof off. When i put the new one on, i matched the window sizes, but bent the pilars so they matched. If there was any difference i had a bit of room to play by the bending. Ive had glass in the car, and everything seems to fit right. Id make sure the bottom part of the shell is good and strong then do the roof. As i say, it was much easier than doing the roof skin, and when you join it as low as i did, its like joining to scuttle repair panels, and was just well, easier.
