Provided anyone can even get on the forum to read a pinned post. Almost every attempt I make, it times out. I get on, read one page, go to page 2 and it times out.

Replying, can try 5 times before it sends. Will be interesting to see if this one sends.

This problem has been going on for many months, and its gotten worse in the last few weeks, but its been going on a long time now.

We have a forum for work, not the same type as this, its a vBulletin one, and there are ways to block bots, limit the frequency of posts by a single person, even make it so you have to sign in to even browse the forum. Lots of options, and many make it a little annoying to use, but for the sake of getting the forum working again reliably, some harder measures need to be done and then they can be eased off in time.

Is this a hosted form, like a cloud forum, or is this privately hosed?

Surely who ever makes this forum, can assist...

Google Mini questions, and this forum typically has the answer, but you cant get on to read the answers.

Its a mega resource, and its hard to see it failing like it is

I understand where you are coming from and our IT guru Deathrow is looking into various means of dealing with what is happening.

HOWEVER and i cannot reitterate this enough, we all do this as volunteers and most of us work fulltime. so with that in mind please be patient, we are not ignoring what is going on and it frustrates us as much as you if not more so. I have been discussing with the forum owner what is going on so hopefully with that and whatever Deathrow can do we shall get some sort of positive outcome as soon as possible.

The forum has been taken offline before to deal with a major issue and it may well come to this again, hopefully not. If that is the case then we will need to possibly look at FB again as a temporary measure BUT there will be restrictions on there as last time it was abused and not what TMF is all about.

Appreciate it, and all you people do.

Dont do facebook though, there are so many Mini facebook groups, its just not needed. The gold this forum offers is the history, and how accessible it is to find (normally). Facebook doesnt offer that, and so hard to search for previously asked questions.

Hopefully a solution can be found.

Had a weird as Error Code 524 the last 20 minutes, not seen that one before.

Facebook has recently made it even worse, I now can't even search for posts from my groups unless I go into each group individually. So much useful information is on Facebook only to be never found again.

I’m impressed that anyone can use Facebook without having the FBPurity add on.
It’s free and allows you to screen out the irritating content, to make ‘all comments’ your default setting and organise the layout to your liking, among many other improvements it can make.
I’ve been using it for years now and would have given up on Facebook if I’d had to put up with the dross that Zuckerberg throws at me, without FBPurity.

I'm hoping the forum keeps going. It's my only source of mini material. Never had a FB account and downright refuse to sign up to any of the SM platforms.

Just need to allow the guys on here that keep the forum going (in their spare time) the time to swot the bots!

I'm sure the bots will be ever evolving, but thanks to all that keep the forum running.

I would be gutted if TMF went  - please fix it if you can whoever/wherever you are - I try every day but only manage to get on once every 4 or 5 days (or less) - I guess if it continues like this people will flake off and I expect I might eventually as its so frustrating/disheartening trying to get on.

Please note I'm not blaming whoever runs the site (and I recognise that you're volunteers) just frustrated that I don't understand why its not working and why its so difficult to fix because I'm not a computer person

Does whoever is hosting the forum need a hand? Based on the errors I assume it's an issue with the machine/VM hosting the forum. Happy to help

Has there been a notable improvement in the last 48 hours or so?

Hi Deathrow,

I would say a very slight improvement.

Many many thanks for your efforts.

Hi Deathrow,

I would say I am seeing further improvement since my last comment yesterday at 11.28.
