Just to give you an update on progress so far, as you can see the group 5 arches and the smoothed out boot lid are fitted, I also fitted Rsroadkilla's alloys to see if I preferred the black centres and I do. The Recaros have been positioned ready for some tailor made brackets to be made and welded to subframes. Had to adjust clutch again as there was alot of drag. I did set up as the Haynes manual but this did not work for my competition clutch. The doors have been left off at the moment while the seats are being fitted. The grille has been painted and as you can see ready for fitment. Enjoying driving the car back and forth in the garage lol. The last picture shows the car ready for its bedtime.

Just a quick update, just got the seat subframes fitted in properly today with some help from a friend. Brackets had to be made up and welded to the subframes and are securely bolted to the floor. This is the latest picture of the engine bay with its K&N filters on and the second picture is of the car with its grill fitted.

DAMN!! you've got a good looking womanmagnet there!

Where do you place your numberplate since you have a smooth boot and a centre exhaust? :(

Funny you should say that about the number plate, I have just ordered a twin exit exhaust from Maniflow in black with 3" outward rolled tail pipes, this helps me position the number plate easier than the centre exit exhaust as originally done. Number plate will be located in the centre under the bumper lit by two LED motorcycle number plate lights. Don't you hate it when you order things and then change your mind halfway through :(

My friend used Photoshop to see what the twin exit exhaust looked like with a number plate in the centre, this is the result which I will be doing.

The Recaro seats are from a Rover 800 Turbo Vitesse, I also have the rear seat which I have skinned and I am going to use the cover to re-upholster the original mini rear seat, so it will all match. I am also going to use the Rover seatbelts.

The minis can be a bottomless pit of money. Yeah the missus come round to the idea of the twin exit exhaust after she saw the car with the number plate in the middle rather than being fixed in the corner looking a bit like an after thought. I have to make a large order of bits next week to finish off interior so that I am ready for the Brooklands show at the end of March. I still have to get the car MOT, taxed and hopefully take the car to Slark Racing for a rolling road session. Thank you all for your comments.
